Innumerable labors brought us this food. We should know how it comes to us.*
The practice of Oryoki combines ceremonial serving, receiving, and eating practices. It is dance, theater, a ritual practice honoring self and others, and very zen.
Led by Myoko Sara Hunsaker.
This meeting is limited to 5-6 people attending the Villa Angelica sesshin. Email or call Sara at (831) 915-4736 to reserve a place. Bring your oryoki or $15 to rent a set for the sesshin. (There is no charge for the instruction.)
Prior to the meeting please review San Francisco Zen Center’s Oryoki Instruction material. If you have questions they can be answered at our meeting.
